WELCOME TO THE FARM

Since the 1920s, Gumboots Family Farm has been a staple of Guys Mills, PA, beginning with George Tomer’s original vision. While our name is new as of 2025, the land remains the same, now reborn as a woman-managed farmstead dedicated to regenerative agriculture. The family chose the name Gumboots as a playful nod to the "gumbo" mud of the Steel City—a tribute to George Tomer hailing from Pittsburgh—and the essential footwear that carries us through the daily work of the land. Today, we are leading a complete revival of the acreage, transitioning from the cattle of the past to a diversified farm featuring KuneKune pigs, poultry, Iclandic sheep, and a thriving apiary. Our mission is to ensure this hard work sustains the land and brings farm-to-table goodness to our community for generations to come.
